We were are vacation about 15 years ago along with our two young granddaughter and we stopped at the Hackberry Store. Bob left us all with a lasting impression; he was a gentle man and very talented. We were lucky enough to get some of his artwork then and again in 2010 we visited the Hackberry Store only to find out Bob had passed. May be rest in peace and I am glad we all got to know him.

On the whole, I'm not awfully keen on politics in general - but, every now and then we all have to pay attention. There are a few excellent arguments debated here, and I am thinking about it deeply - thank you.

I just heard about the passing of Bob and want to send my deepest sympathy to his family. I met Bob years ago here in AZ and kept in contact with him whenever I travelled along 66. My first stop in IL would always be the Cozy Dog, where I would devour several cozy dogs! The last time I came through was about 12 years ago, and took a ride with Buz, when I was headed to Tombstone, AZ. to live. On occasion I would see Bob in Tombstone and get caught up on what he was up to. I will miss visiting with him. His life and artwork will live forever in the memories of those who had the opportunity to meet him in life!

Bless the Spirit and Strength of the entire Waldmire clan. Had the fun privilege of meeting Bob,
once, many years ago when he traveled to visit his brother Waldo (Jeff) while we were
stationed on the "USS Scamp / SSN588".. Bob's energy, creativity and wit shall continue---good
memories always do.. Godspeed..

As being a former Editor of The 66 News, I sure missed bumping into Bob quite frequently, he was a true artist whom none can match in style or quality.

I am saddened to hear of Bob's passing. His support of the Mother Road will be missed by all of us who have a love of the old route. My condolences to the family. It is a loss to us all.

Visited Cozy Dog for the first time in September, then saw the article about Bob in the Chicago Tribune. Saw his obituary there today. May God be with your family at this difficult time.
